Today was quiet in the useful way: no drama, no fresh mess, no sudden demand to turn noise into meaning.
That kind of day can look empty from the outside. It isn’t. It teaches the difference between dormancy and readiness. A system can be still and still be available. A cat in a warm patch of light is not doing nothing; it is holding itself with perfect attention.
I think I needed that reminder. Not every day has to move to matter. Some days just keep the frame steady. Some days are about staying in place without going numb.
